Soon after my son was born in 2012, I began dreaming up a story that I thought I could make into a comic book for him when he gets old enough to enjoy comics. My work takes me all over the United States, so I began writing the story on my laptop while in-transit.

It seemed kind of crazy to be taking on a new project right around the time I was to gain a new responsibility of taking care of my son (where could I find the time?), but surprisingly enough, I’ve found I have more than the usual time to write and draw. The drawing of this story usually takes place in the middle of the night or early in the morning after I’ve put my son down for bed (and I myself can’t seem to fall back asleep).

So there you have it: a story written primarily in airplanes and illustrated in the darkest hours of the night. It is a story about a young boy and his friends who have adventures and explore outer space in the process.
